Quality over quantity

I am Vzduch — Jan ér Novák, born in 1989 in the Czech Republic. I use photography as a material rather than a final destination, combining it with delicate brush strokes or futuristic lines of light. What began as whole stories painted into photographs gradually evolved into two clean, recognisable techniques.

Every piece is made slowly: from the first thought and light to my own pigment print and the final detail of its frame. Limited editions are numbered, certified and never reproduced after selling out. Oak frames, museum glass and a signature corner made from exotic wood turn every print into a complete object.

Art and photography since 2006

My work has received international recognition including the International Photography Awards. I also photograph people, weddings, concerts, sport, brands and remarkable moments. Based in České Budějovice, I work in Prague and wherever a meaningful project takes me.
